Headways

In the Phoenix Gallery (Brighton)

Headways is an offering in progress. Visuals, texts, sound are put together to create a developing “altar”. When the performance ends a installation is left that is still moving and changing. The main subject is communication and relationships, how people relate and communicate to each other, how we think, exchange ideas, understand, missunderstand, talk, listen or no listen.

A small text is recorded in more that ten different languages. A collection of heads/busts are made to relate to each together in different actions, ways of communicating; a performer wearing a mask (being itself another moving head) is the agent moving the other heads.

the sound piece was made by David Papapostolou using a text by Xelís de Toro
